                                    ATTENDANCE AND LEAVE OF ABSENCE1. Pupils must be punctual at the beginning of the day, for subject classes and activityperiods.2. Attendance at the morning assembly is compulsory.3. Three late arrivals will be counted as one absence.4. No leave of absence will be granted except on previous written application fromthe parent/guardian and that too only for serious reasons, which should bementioned.5. Students will be marked absent if not present in the campus throughout theschool hours (i.e 8.30 am - 3.30 pm)6. In case of illness, a student, on returning to school must bring a note in his Diaryfrom his/her parent certifying the fact. Reasons like ‘private work’ will not beaccepted. Failure to produce a note in the Diary may oblige the Principal/VP/HMto send the student home during school hours.7. The Principal/VP/HM should be informed at the earliest if a student is likely to beabsent for more than a week due to illness and a medical certificate should beproduced to the same effect.8. In case of infectious diseases the parents are required to submit a medical certificateto the effect that the child is fit to rejoin.9. In case of absence of a child for a long period (6 to 10 days) without prior intimation,the parent must obtain written permission from the Principal / HM for reattendingclasses.10. Absence without leave renders a student liable to a fine and if this absence isprolonged for more than 10 days, his/her name is likely to be struck off the rolls.11. No child, who is medically unfit will be allowed to attend the school. Studentssuffering from contagious diseases must observe the prescribed period ofquarantine before returning to school.33
