                                    CO-CURRICULAR & EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIESEducation being the all-round development of the innate talents of a child, we give asmany opportunities as possible to every student to participate in a variety of co-curricularand extra curricular activities. Participation in these activities will not only help to drawout and develop his/her various talents and aptitudes but also inculcate in him/her aspirit of healthy competition. It will also teach him/her to become a more disciplinedindividual. To achieve these aims we have provided facilities for indoor and outdoorgames, athletics and literary and cultural activities.Outdoor Games : Tennis, Cricket, Volleyball, Basketball, Kho-Kho etc.Indoor Games : Shuttle Badminton, Table Tennis, Chess, Carroms etc.Athletics : It includes spints Runs, Jumps and Throws.Literary : Regular opportunities are given for intellectual pursuits likeDebate, Elocution, Essay Writing in English, Hindi and Telugu.Quiz and General Knowledge Competitions are part of them.Cultural : Students are also encouraged to participate in cultural activitieslike Singing, Music, Dance, Dramatics, Mono Acts, Mime, Mimicry,Fancy Dress, Drawing, Painting etc.,Clubs & Associations: Games & Sports Club, Literary Association, Cultural Association,Quiz Club, Maths & Science Club.Since every activity of the school is a part of the school curriculum and meant to educatethe child as a whole, it is incorporated into the daily time table without affecting theacademic performance of the children.In order to organise and conduct these activities in a systematic way all the students areclassified into four Houses, viz., Raman, Kalam, Bhaba and Sarabhai. They all are furthersub-divided into Senior, Junior and Sub Junior groups.The inter-house competitions are spread throughout the year and are conductedregularly. Incentives for participation are given in the form of points as per merit, medals,as well as trophies to the house and certificates of merit to the individual participants.All these activities are meant to develop the total personality of the child.
